Private Lessons
If you are interested in private figure skating and/or hockey lessons for you or your child(ren), below is the contact information for coaches licensed to host lessons at Howelsen Ice Arena (HIA). All coaches go through a screening process and become licensed to operate at HIA prior to engaging in any private instruction during the following public programming:

- Freestyle Figure Skating*
- Stick and Puck Hockey*
- Private Coaching Ice (Hockey)*

Private Coaching Ice (Hockey)
- This is not a Stick and Puck session, so athletes must have a coach present to participate.
- Athletes are responsible for arranging their own coach/lesson.
- Reservations will open 2 weeks prior to the scheduled session time.
- Maximum capacity per session: 28 people (this includes 6 athletes per coach)
- All participants must sign up ahead of time, including coaches.
- Full equipment is required for all athletes. Helmets, gloves, and skates are required for coaches.
