Steamboat Springs Youth Hockey Association programming at Howelsen Ice Arena begins with the Intro to Hockey program, where the youth of Steamboat can try out hockey for the first time. There are three sessions of Intro to Hockey each year and the first session is 100% free, while the second and third sessions are provided for a small fee. Equipment is provided to all participants during all three sessions, free of charge.
