SST operates seven days a week, 22 hours a day, with options for day/evening shifts and flexible schedules. More than 750,000 guests and locals ride SST during the winter season alone! 

SST operates one of the most efficient rural transportation systems in the state and drivers have significant responsibility, but more importantly, the job is fun and rewarding.  

SST driver pay and benefits


Competitive Driver Pay

  • Training Wage: $24.42 per hour
  • CDL Wage: $27.94 per hour

Driver Bonuses and Perks (Pending Approval and Qualifications)

  • A $700 early sign-on bonus for those who apply or accept before October 1. 
  • An extra $2 per shift differential pay earned for Regional Line drivers. 
  • End-of-season bonuses based on hours worked throughout the winter ski season (must work entire season start to finish). 
    • 500 Hours Completed - $1,000
    • 750 Hours Completed - $2,000
    • 1,000 Hours Completed - $3,000
  • Use of Gold Ski Medallions for FREE skiing or riding at Steamboat Resort.
  • Affordable employee housing opportunities.
  • CDL Class B paid training.
  • 4 day work week with consecutive days off.
