Fire Suppression / Emergency Medical Services (EMS)
Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue (SSFR) responds to a variety of emergencies to provide structural and wildland fire suppression, emergency medical services (including ambulance transport service), and high and low angle rope rescue.
Staff
Full and part-time personnel, who are trained as firefighters and emergency medical technicians (EMT) with several individuals trained to the paramedic level.
Dr. David Richter serves as the Medical Director for SSFR. Pre-hospital medical care is provided under the guidance of the Routt County EMS protocols.
