Gov. Hickenlooper orders flags lowered in honor of Staff Sgt. Diobanjo Sanagustin
DENVER — Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018 — Gov. John Hickenlooper today ordered flags be lowered to half-staff statewide on all public buildings from sunrise to sunset on Monday, Sept. 17, 2018, in honor of U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Diobanjo S. Sanagustin.
Sanagustin, 32, was assigned to B Company, 4th Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Division at Fort Carson. He died on Sept. 4, 2018 in Parwan Province, Afghanistan, in support of Operation Freedom’s Sentinel.
Sanagustin is survived by his wife, son, and parents.
