Parks & Recreation provides an environment that promotes and anticipates the recreational, open space & cultural needs of all citizens. It acts as a catalyst for innovative programming in conjunction with civic, private and business sectors and remains committed to being accountable for the maintenance, preservation, and development of the natural resources entrusted to us.
Parks & Recreation Commission
The Parks & Recreation Commission serves as an advisory board to City Council to promote an enhanced quality of life by offering a broad range of safe and accessible resources including parks, open space, trails, recreational services and facilities which invite all to Explore, Play, Learn and Preserve.

Camping
There is no camping allowed in any of the City of Steamboat Springs Parks or Parking Lots. Visit the Steamboat Springs Chamber for a list of camping locations in and around Steamboat Springs.
