Spring King & Queen Of The Beach Drop-In Volleyball

Due to the current weather conditions, tonight's (May 5) drop-in volleyball as been cancelled. 

Overview

• Combined King and Queen of the Beach takes place every Tuesday night at Howelsen Hill. 
• This is a doubles-format competition where players compete as individuals rather than fixed teams. 
• Participants rotate partners throughout the evening, and individual results determine the weekly standings. 
• You do not need to register with a partner, and attendance is flexible - you are not required to participate every week. Join when you can and compete at your own pace! 

How It Works

• Show up at the Howelsen Beach Courts early! Spring registration starts at 5 PM and games will start at 6 PM (we cannot accept late arrivals). 
• No cap on players. Play will take place on three sand courts (top courts) and the remaining courts will be set up on grass. 
• Registration will be first come, first served, so be sure to arrive early. Spots will not be held for late arrivals. 
• A hat draw will be held on the first drop-in night (May 5) to assign players to courts. Following the first session, players will be ranked based on the net number of points earned over the previous weeks. 
• Participants will be separated into different courts and each person will play with and against every other person on that court. 
• Points are tallied over the 4-week session and prizes are awarded for the highest accumulated score. While participants do not have to attend every night, attendance does factor into a players total score. 

Drop-In Details

• Must be at least 18 years old to participate
• Tuesdays, May 5 to May 26 (4 Week Session)
• Time: 5 PM to 9:30 PM
• Location: Howelsen Hill Beach Volleyball Courts - 840 Howelsen Parkway, Steamboat Springs, CO 
• Cost: 
  • Drop-In: $10 Per Person
  • Season Pass: $40 Per Person (Season Pass sales will end at the start of the first program or event. Passes will not be available for purchase after that time)

Registration

• Online registration will open on Monday, March 3 at 12 PM
• Onsite registration will open at 5 PM and close at 6 PM for each session
