The Steamboat Springs City Council typically meets the first three Tuesdays of every month (the second Tuesday is typically a work session) and the meetings usually begin at 5:00 PM.
Bud Werner Memorial Library
This is a one-week residency by the Drepung Loseling monks at the library, Aug. 9-14, 2022. They will be creating a sand mandala in Library Hall over the course of the week, in addition to giving public talks inside the library, hosting a puja ceremony on the lawn outside Library Hall, and doing the traditional ceremony on the final day where they wipe away the mandala inside Library Hall and then the community follows them around the lawn, into the parking lot to send the sand down the river around sunset. We have done this before, 7 and 12 years ago. All events are free and open to the public.
The Colorado Mustang Stampede will be held August 19-20, 2022 in beautiful Steamboat Springs, CO. Steamboats unique mix of warm sun, cowboy boots and friendly locals lends an inviting, laid back atmosphere to the historic Colorado resort town, where western heritage meets abundant outdoor adventure. This car show offers something for everyone!
Yampa Street - 5th to 8th
The Farmers Market is held each week and provides access to locally grown and raised food to the community. Additionally, we provide opportunities for local artists to show their work and for community groups to connect with the greater population. As an economic development organization with the responsibility of ensuring the vitality of Downtown Steamboat Springs, it is also our goal to drive traffic to downtown to increase our sales tax base. The Market is every Saturday 9-2 from June 11 to September 25.
Yampa River Core Trail
In 2017 a group of community members created the 24-Hour ‘Boat Cruise fundraising event. The idea came from a desire to affect real change on a local level in a world that was starting to feel more divided than ever. We chose Integrated Community as the beneficiary.
The route is a 10.3 mile loop around Steamboat Springs. It is a combination of bike path, dirt roads and side streets. The loop starts downtown by Stehlay Park and makes its way up and around Mt Werner Cir. before looping back downtown.

Emerald Mountain Trails
Hosting team practice for Routt County Athletes. The mission, Empowering young women through mountain biking to create brighter futures and build stronger communities. We plan to host practice two days per week throughout the outdoor riding season.
Yoga on the Green is held Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 9 – 10 am throughout the summer, weather permitting. Meet on the Green. Practicing on the Park Green is unlike any class you’ve ever taken. Surrounded by the beauty of nature, delicate gardens and serene pond, you’ll find the peace and stillness is unmatched in the Botanic Park. Please bring a mat or towel, water, sunscreen, and bug spray. Please walk, bike, or carpool to yoga whenever possible as we have limited parking. If you drive, you must park in designated Botanic Park parking spaces. Overflow parking exists on Ski Town Way.
A pleasant and entertaining outdoor musical experience for the Steamboat community and visiting guests. The performances will include both local and guest artists.
