Five Question Poll Narrows Interests For Park Theme, Features & Wishes
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, COLORADO-April 8, 2025-A quick, five-question survey is looking to gauge the community’s interest on several fronts when it comes to the theme, features and wishes for the new Emerald Park Playground design that is currently being formulated.
“It’s our desire to have as many segments of the community as possible weigh in on the design,” said Parks Project Manager Aaron Stafford. “The online survey is a quick and easy way, can be done on any device, and from anywhere – even while on spring break! It’s an ideal way to ensure your thoughts and wishes are known by the design team.”
Take the online survey here or scan the QR Code. The poll asks five questions, three multiple choice and two open comments, to develop priorities and guide the plan for the new space. The survey will close at the end of the month.
This project is the largest playground replacement to date and includes site improvements, wayfinding, and new amenities to enhance the overall play experience. The area will move beyond the existing playground footprint, introducing additional play features, seating spaces, shade structures, and upgraded site amenities.
The new space will be a modern, inclusive, and dynamic site for all age groups and abilities. In addition, new wayfinding will improve navigation at Emerald Park, making it easier to find amenities, sport fields, the botanic park and core trail.
The city is teaming with Design Concepts, an award-winning landscape architectural planning and design firm founded in 1981. This Colorado-based firm creates places that strengthen and foster communities behind a belief that excellence in design of outdoor spaces creates community, improves public health, and naturally preserves and enhances environments.
