STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, COLORADO-March 18, 2024-All eligible registered voters within the City of Steamboat Springs were mailed a ballot for the city’s Special Election to their mailing address on record with the Routt County Clerk & Recorder via the statewide voter registration system.

Voters who believe they are eligible to vote in the special election, and who have not yet received a ballot, have the option of visiting the city offices at 124 10th Street to obtain a ballot in person. Proof of identity (acceptable ID) will be required for replacement ballots.

During the Special Election, voter services will be available from city offices from 8am to 5pm, weekdays and from 7am to 7pm on Election Day, March 26.

The City Hall entrance is accessible from 10th Street with parking in the parking lot north of Oak/10th Streets as well as along Oak and on adjacent streets. A handful of close-in parking spaces behind the City Hall can be accessed from the alley between 9th & 10th Streets.

The Special Election is asking voters to decide if they support or reject the annexation agreement ordinance passed by City Council. Election Day for the city’s Special Election is Tuesday, March 26, 2024.

Voters have the option of using the 24/7 Secure Ballot Box, located at 522 Lincoln in the alley behind the historic downtown courthouse. There is also an interior drop box at the city offices which are open weekdays 8am-5pm and on Election Day from 7am-7pm.

If you are mailing your ballot to the city, it is recommended that you mail it no later than tomorrow, Tuesday, March 19 to ensure timely delivery. After that date, it is best to deposit it into one of the ballot drop boxes.
