Steamboat Springs, Colorado-May 1, 2026-Opportunity is sizzling in Steamboat Springs, and potential vendors will want to get in line before these permits are fully cooked. The city is now accepting applications for mobile food vendors to serve up food and non-alcoholic beverages across six popular park locations.
“Steamboat Springs is no stranger to the growing appetite for mobile food options,” said Parks Supervisor Johannes Thorsen. “With steady park traffic throughout the season, these spots offer a prime chance for vendors to dish out their specialties and connect with the community.”
Individuals interested in operating a mobile food establishment, whether a food truck, cart, trailer, or bike, must complete an online application and submit a $275 permit fee. With limited availability, vendors are encouraged not to waffle on applying.
Permitted vendors may operate daily between 7 am and 9 pm at the following locations: River Creek (2 spots), Howelsen Parks (2 spots), Ski Town Park (1 spot), Emerald Parks (1 spot), Dr. Rich Weiss Park (1 spot-bike only), and Little Toots Park (1 spot-bike only).
The mobile food season runs from Friday of Memorial Day Weekend through October 31, with brief exclusions during the following special events:
- Ski Town Park – Cowpie Classic Rugby Tournament
- Ski Town Park & Emerald Park – Soccer Tournament
- Howelsen Park – Emerald Mountain Epic
- Howelsen Park – High School Mountain Bike Race
- Howelsen Park – Free Summer Concert Series
- Howelsen Park – SBT GRVL
