STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, COLORADO-September 22, 2023-The City of Steamboat Springs is accepting applications for two open seats on the Golf Management Committee, which helps oversee the management and operations of the city-owned Haymaker Golf Course.
The committee which meets the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at the Parks & Recreation office in winter and the golf course in the summer. The five-member group works with the city team comprised of the Head Golf Professional, Course Superintendent, Finance, and the Parks & Recreation Director.
Each of the two Golf Management Committee seats is a two-year term, expiring on 10/31/2027. In addition to helping set the direction for this popular Colorado golf course, committee members receive a Haymaker Golf Pass and Howelsen Hill Ski Pass.
Interested applicants must fill out application and submit to the city by 5:30pm on Monday, October 2, 2023. Applications can be dropped off at City Hall, 124 10th Street or emailed to the City Clerk. Additional information and past agendas/minutes can be found online.
Proudly owned by the City of Steamboat Springs, the 233-acre championship golf course features at least four sets of tees per hole, playing from 5,059 to 7,308 yards. Heralded as a ‘core layout’ using large greens and gentle undulations, Haymaker blends seamlessly with the topography of the region. The course, which enjoys uninterrupted vistas of the Yampa Valley on every hole, lends itself to golfers of all abilities from the novice to the professional.
