Summer Programs

Summer Programs Update

We have been closely monitoring both state and local health guidelines, and are currently in the process of developing different scenarios for summer programming.

We will NOT be offering summer programming (summer camp, adult sports and special events) during the month of June, and are waiting on additional budget and programming decisions from City Council regarding the remainder of the summer.

We also anticipate that restrictions around facility use and group gathering size will likely remain in effect to some degree throughout the summer, which may impact our ability to offer certain programs.

While much remains uncertain, we appreciate your patience and hope to have more information for you soon.

The City of Steamboat Springs offers several options for kids and families through the summer.  The activities of each camp are designed to challenge the level of each age group. On trip days, staff target skills for the safe enjoyment of outdoor adventures in the Rocky Mountains.

Therapeutic Recreation

The Adventure Bound in Steamboat Springs programs have an inclusion program that addresses children with special needs in the least restrictive environment. Parents of such children are asked to call in advance to indicate your child’s specific needs and set up suitable programming and staffing. Please read through our Parent Handbook about specifics on participating through the inclusion program. Required T-Rec paperwork is available in the Document Center.

Summer Camps

Registration for camps is currently TBD. Required paperwork and Activity Calendars will be available two weeks prior to registration opening, and will be located in the Document Center. Camp will run Monday through Friday (dates TBD), potentially with ASSET Camp options available. The cost is $40/day if you are registered on or before (TBD date). The drop-in rate is $52/day if space allows. Snacks and all activity fees are included.

The required Recreation Family Record will be sent to your email within one week of registration. Required forms are due within 48 hours of receiving email via Docusign.  All kids must have a NEW Recreation Family Record for 2020-21 and a copy of their current immunizations on file for participation in City Programing.
